Abstract

 THE PHOTOCATALYTIC DEGRADATION OF PARAROSANILINE (PRA) IN AQUEOUS NANO TIO2 SUSPENSIONS IS REPORTED IN THIS WORK. THE EFFECT OF SOME PARAMETERS SUCH AS THE AMOUNT OF PHOTOCATALYST, IRRADIATION TIME OF UV LIGHT AND PHWAS ALSO EXAMINED. WHEN THE REACTION WAS CARRIED OUT IN THE ABSENCE OF PHOTOCATALYST AND UV LIGHT, DEGRADATION OF PRA WAS SMALL. THE EFFECT OF PH INDICATED THE EFFECTIVE DEGRADATION OCCURRED IN ACIDIAN CONDITIONS (PH=5). DEGRADATION KINETIC OF THIS AROMATIC COMPOUND CAN BE DESCRIBED BY LANGUMIR-HINSHELWOOD EQUATION. AT THE END, KR, KA AND KOBS ARE REPORTED TOO.
