Abstract

 DESIGNED SINGLE-CO-CRYSTALS OF POLY (ETHYLENE GLYCOL)-B-POLYSTYRENE (PEG-B-PS), POLY (ETHYLENE GLYCOL)-B-POLY (METHYL METHACRYLATE) (PEG-B-PMMA), AND HOMOPOLYMERS INCLUDING VARIOUS MORPHOLOGIES HAVE BEEN GROWN VIA SELF-SEEDING METHOD FROM DILUTE SOLUTION IN AMYL ACETATE. DUE TO DIFFERENT SETS OF QUALITY OF ADOPTED SOLVENT AND INTERACTIONS OF SUBSTRATE FOR AMORPHOUS BLOCKS, WE WERE CAPABLE TO DEVELOP MATRIX-DISPERSE MORPHOLOGIES WITH DIFFERENT DISPERSE PHASES AND RANDOM SINGLE-CO-CRYSTALS. THE SIZE OF DISPERSED DOMAINS IN PS, PMMA AND BARED-SUBSTRATE MATRIX WERE ON THE SCALE OF 91-147 NM, 169-195 NM AND 104-126 NM RESPECTIVELY. THE DISPERSED DOMAIN SIZES WERE ON THE FALL VIA ENHANCEMENT OF AMORPHOUS BLOCKS MOLECULAR WEIGHT. DESPITE THE SIGNIFICANT HEIGHT VARIANCE BETWEEN MATRIX AND DISPERSE PHASES IN PEG-B-PS/PEG SAMPLES (=3.63-10.30 NM), IN PEG-B-PMMA/PEG MATRIX-DISPERSE COCRYSTALS THE HEIGHT VARIANCE BETWEEN DIFFERENT PHASES RANGED FROM 0.04 NM TO 2.04 NM; NEVERTHELESS, THE DETECTABILITY OF THESE SAMPLES COULD LIE IN VARIOUS DENSITIES AND CRYSTALLINITY OF HOMO-PEG REGIONS.
