Abstract

 IN THIS STUDY, AN INDUSTRIAL METHOD WILL BE PROVIDED FOR THE SYNTHESIS OF ZINC OXIDE (ZNO) NANOPARTICLES. IN ADDITION, THE PROPERTIES OF SYNTHESIZED NANOPARTICLES WILL BE DESCRIBED AND APPROPRIATE APPLICATIONS FOR THESE NANOPARTICLES WILL BE PROPOSED. ZNO NANOPARTICLES WERE SYNTHESIZED CONTINUOUSLY VIA SPRAY PYROLYSIS METHOD. SCANNING ELECTRON MICROSCOPY (SEM) IMAGES DEMONSTRATED THAT ZNO NANOPARTICLES HAVE A SIZE OF ABOUT 70 NANOMETERS. MOREOVER, DYNAMIC LIGHT SCATTERING (DLS) ANALYSIS INDICATED UNIFORM DISTRIBUTION OF PARTICLES SIZES. THE PRESENCE OF ZNO FUNCTIONAL GROUPS WERE CONFIRMED BY FTIR ANALYSIS. THE EFFECT OF NANOPARTICLES ON PERFORMANCE OF POLYMERIC MATERIALS WAS EVALUATED. OVERALLY, THIS RESEARCH PROPOSES THAT THE APPLICATION OF NANOPARTICLES CAN DEVELOP AND ENHANCE THE USABILITY OF POLYMERIC MATERIALS ESPECIALLY NANOCOMPOSITE MEMBRANES.
