Abstract

 MACROCYCES ARE POSSIBLY THE MOST WIDELY USED FAMILY OF HOST COMPOUNDS IN SUPRAMOLECULAR CHEMISTRY "[1]". THE AZACROWN LIGAN IS KNOWN IF FUTHER FUNCTIONALIZED-HIGH AFFINITY FOR LANTHANIDE IONS. ADDITIONALLY UNOCCUPIED COORDINATION SITES OF THE LEWIS-ACIDIC METAL ION ALLOW REVERSIBLE COORDINATION OF LEWIS-BASIC BINDING PARTNERS. WE WISH TO REPORT SYNTHESIS OF A NEW LIGAND AS LARIAT ETHER COMPOUND FROM CORRESPONDING AZACROWN COMPOUND. THIS LIGAND HAVE MORE ABILITY THAN MACRO CYCLIC DIAMIDE, BECAUSE OF THEY CAN CHELATATE GUEST MOLECULES WITH MORE DONOR HETEROATOM SUCH AS PHOSPHORUS AND OXYGEN. THE STRUCTUR OF COMPOUND IS PROVED BY SPECTRAL DATA INCLUDING IR, 1HNMR, 13CNMR AND 15PNMR.
