Abstract

 INTRODUCTION: ELECTROCHEMICAL TECHNIQUESHAVE POSSESSED SIGNIFICANT ATTENTION IN WATER TREATMENT RESEARCHES, DUE TO THEIR ENVIRONMENTAL COMPATIBILITY, SMALL SPACE REQUIREMENT, AND STRONG OXIDATION ABILITY.THEELECTRO CATALYTIC ACTIVITY OF ELECTRODE MATERIAL MUST BE HIGH TO ALMOST COMPLETELY OXIDIZE ORGANICS TO CO2 AND H2O. AS WELL AS, THESE PROCESSES DEPEND ON THE ACTIVITY OF COATING MATERIALS ON THE ELECTRODES. RECENT RESEARCH HAS FOCUSED ON SURFACE MODIFICATION OF THE ELECTRODE ANODES BY CARBON NANOTUBES (CNTS) [13, 14].CARBON NANOTUBES (CNTS) ARE IDEAL ELECTRODE MATERIALS BECAUSE OF THEIR HIGH ASPECT RATIO, EXCELLENT MECHANICAL STRENGTH, GOOD CONDUCTANCE AND HIGH CHEMICAL STABILITY [15, 16].
