Abstract

 INTRODUCTION: RECENTLY METAL-OXIDE NANOPARTICLES HAVE BEEN THE SUBJECT OF MUCH INTEREST BECAUSE OF THEIR UNUSUAL OPTICAL, ELECTRONIC AND MAGNETIC PROPERTIES, WHICH OFTEN DIFFER FROM THE BULK. FOR INSTANCE, MAGNETIC NANOPARTICLES ARE SPINEL FERRITES WHICH HAVE BEEN MADE IN DIFFERENT METHODS. SOFT FERRITES WITH GENERAL FORMULA OF AFE2O4 (A IS A DIVALENT CATION SUCH AS CA+2, NI+2, CU+2) ARE SET OF MAGNETIC MATERIALS WITH INVERSE SPINEL STRUCTURE THAT HAVE BEEN USED AS CATALYSTS IN POLLUTANT GASES DECOMPOSING AND SENSORS IN DETECTING THE DIFFERENT GASES DUE TO THEIR HIGH THERMAL STABILITY AND EFFECTIVE CATALYTIC ACTIVITY [1]. IN THIS PAPER, WE SYNTHESIZED AND ANALYZED STRUCTURE OF COPPER FERRITE NANOPARTICLES AND INVESTIGATED BAND STRUCTURE AND ENERGY GAP OF THE SAMPLES.
