Abstract

 IN THIS WORK, A NEW KIND OF NONWOVEN NANOCOMPOSITE MEMBRANES WERE PREPARED BY ELECTROSPINNING OF PVDF/GRAPHENE BLEND SOLUTIONS ON THE SURFACE OF POROUS POLYPROPYLENE SHEETS. THE PERFORMANCE OF FABRICATED MEMBRANES FOR DESALINATION OF WATER BY USING AIR-GAP MEMBRANE DISTILLATION (AGMD), HAVE BEEN EVALUATED. THE RESULTS SHOW THAT THE GRAPHENE SIGNIFICANTLY IMPROVES THE PROPERTIES THAT INFLUENCE DIRECTLY ON THE SEPARATION FACTORS OF THE MEMBRANE DISTILLATION (MD), PROCESS.SALT REJECTION CAPACITY OF THE PVDF/GRAPHENE (1.00WT%), ELECTRO-SPUN NANOCOMPOSITE MEMBRANE IN COMPARISON WITH PURE PVDF NANOFIBER MEMBRANE, WAS ENHANCED.
