Abstract

 2H-INDAZOLO[1,2-B]PHETALAZINE-TRIONE DERIVATIVES, HAS EMERGE AS A POWERFUL TOOL IN ORGANIC SYNTHESIS DUE TO THEIR WIDE RANGE OF BIOLOGICAL AND THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES SUCH AS ANTIBACTERIAL, ANTIVIRAL, AND INFLAMMATORY ACTIVITIES. IN THIS WORK, NOVEL BRONSTED ACIDIC IONIC LIQUID 1,3- DISULFONIC ACID IMIDAZOLOPYRIDINIUM HYDROGEN SULFATE IS SYNTHESIZE, AND CHARACTERIZE BY STUDYING ITS IR,1HNMR AND TGA SPECTRA. THIS IONIC LIQUID WITH THREE ACIDIC FUNCTIONAL GROUPS, IS UTILIZED AS A HIGHLY EFFICIENT, HOMOGENEOUS AND REUSABLE CATALYST FOR PREPARATION OF 2H-INDAZOLO PHTHALAZINE-TRIONES VIA ONE-POT MULTI-COMPONENT CONDENSATION OF AROMATIC ALDEHYDES, DIMEDON AND PHTALHYDRAZID UNDER SOLVENT FREE CONDENSATION. IONIC LIQUIDS (ILS) HAVE ATTRACTED A RISING INTEREST IN THE LAST DECADES FROM CHEMISTS BECAUSE OF THEIR UNIQUE PROPERTIES INCLUDING NO NFLAMMABILITY, NON-VOLATILITY, WIDE LIQUID-STATE TEMPERATURE RANGE, HIGH THERMAL AND CHEMICAL STABILITY, LARGE ELECTROCHEMICAL WINDOW AND FAVORABLE SALVATION BEHAVIOR [1,2]. AMONG THE DIFFERENT KIND OF ILS, BRÖNSTED ACIDS ONES HAVE OFFER A POSSIBILITY FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY ACIDIC CATALYST FOR ORGANIC TRANSFORMATION, BECAUSE OF COMBINATION THE ADVANTAGE OF IONIC LIQUID AND SOLID ACIDS, THEIR OPERATIONAL SIMPLICITY COUPLED WITH THEIR GREEN NATURES.[3-5].
