Abstract

 INPUT WET AIR OR PROCESS AIR IS DRIED IN A ROTARY DEHUMIDIFICATION USING SOLID DESICCANT PARTICLES THAT IS THE DEHUMIDIFICATION OF ENVIRONMENT. THE HUMIDITY AMOUNT ON THE SURFACE OF DESICCANT IS INCREASED DURING DEHUMIDIFICATION PROCESS AND WAS ADSORBED BY REGENERATION AIR STREAM WHICH SENT TO ENVIRONMENT.IN THIS STUDY, THE MATHEMATICAL MODELING OF DESICCANT WHEEL WAS DESCRIBED .FOUR EQUATIONS CONCERNING WATER CONTENT (HUMIDITY) AND ENERGY CONSERVATION (ENTHALPY) AS WELL AS ONE MOMENTUM EQUATION FOR PROCESS AIR (TOTALLY 5 EQUATIONS) WERE USED TO DESCRIBE COMPLICATED HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER OCCURRING IN MOISTURE ADSORPTION AND REGENERATION .GOVERNING EQUATIONS WERE OBTAINED USING MASS AND ENERGY BALANCES FOR PROCESS AIR STREAM AND WATER CONTENT IN DESICCANT AS WELL AS ONE-DIMENSIONAL VELOCITY PROFILE FOR PROCESS AIR.
