EFFECT OF DIFFERENT PERCENTAGE OF BLOCKING AND ANGLE CHANGES ON BLOOD FLOWS

Abstract

 IN THIS PAPER, PULSATILE THREE DIMENSIONAL BLOOD FLOW USING NEWTONIAN AND HOMOGENOUS ASSUMPTIONS IN SOLID WALLS OF BYPASS CORONARY ARTERIES HAVE BEEN STUDIED IN DIFFERENT DEGREE OF STENOSIS. 20, 30, AND 50 DEGREE OF BYPASS GRAFTS HAVE BEEN CHOSEN IN 50, 75 AND 85 PERCENT OF STENOSIS OF CORONARY-CORONARY BYPASS. THE EFFECT OF DIFFERENT KINDS OF BYPASS GRAFTS ANGLES AND DIFFERENT DEGREE OF STENOSIS HAVE BEEN CONSIDERED ON FLOW FIELDS AND WALL SHEAR STRESS SPECIALLY ON TOE AND HEEL REGIONS. THE RESULTS OF THIS SIMULATION HAVE SHOWED THAT THE DIFFERENT DEGREE OF STENOSIS HAS AN IMPORTANT EFFECT ON WALL SHEAR STRESS WHERE THERE IS RECIRCULATING FLOW TOWARD THE UPSTREAM OF CORONARY ARTERIES. BY THE WAY, COMPARING THE OBTAINED RESULTS SHOWED THAT THE 30 DEGREE OF GRAFT ANGLES IS A FAVORITE GRAFT ANGLE IN CORONARY-CORONAY BYPASS GRAFTS.
