Abstract

ALLGROVE SYNDROME or triple A syndrome, is one of the least understood entities among the ACTH resistance adrenal insufficiencies. This syndrome is characterized by ACHALASIA, ALACRIMA and ADRENAL INSUFFICIENCY. Neurological and dermatological finding are also present. The molecular origin of the syndrome is not clear. An anomalous region on chromosome 12 q 13 could explain some abnormal findings of this syndrome. We report here a 7 year old boy with ACHALASIA, ALACRIMA, ADRENAL INSUFFICIENCY and failure to thrive diagnosed as ALLGROVE SYNDROME.
