THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AND CONFLICT MANAGEMENT STYLES

Abstract

 The Present research is to find the relation between CONFLICT MANAGEMENT style and the main factors of EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE which has been carried out among the managers in Tehran. The statistical universe involved all the industrial managers of Tehran. Therefore 152 People (61 females and 91 males) were selected through random sampling method and tested by two Bar- on EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE and CONFLICT MANAGEMENT questionnaires. The results revealed that there's negative relation between avoidant style and compromise style and positive relation between manager's EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE and corporation Style. The regression analysis also indicated that it's Possible to Predict the manager's EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE by considering the corporation style and CONFLICT MANAGEMENT avoidant style's scores.
