Hetrogeneous catalysts loos their efficiency and activity after a while. One of the most economical ways to treat these spent catalysts is rejuvenation in this way the primery activity of catalyst is refunded.
Because the final aim of this report is reviewing rejuvenation methods of the hetrogeneous catalystso, the matenals in this report are introduced in three Sections.
Section 1: The reason of deactivation of hetrogeneous catalysts in this section the reasons and mechanism of deactivation such as poisoning, fouling, sintering, coking and etc have been studied.
Section 2: The methods of hetrogeneous catalysts rejuvenation.
In this section, the various rejuvenation methods that are suitable regarding to reactivation mechanism have been studied.
These methods are including oxychlorination, redispersion, removing coke with gasification, removing sulfur through burning in air or oxygene.
Section 3: Rejuvenation method of spent reforming catalysts (case study) In this section , the rejuvenation of reforming catalysts that is used in steel industry in order to produce synthesis gas is studied .At first, kinds of reaction this catalys involves in are pointed. Then preparation method, catalyst composition and mechanism are discused. Finally deactivation quality and rejuvenation are reviewed.
