In this project the aim was studying the effective parameters in a monochromator and obtainingsort of know how for making such system. At this stage visible range of the spectrum was considered. The designed system consist of light source, entrance slit, firs collimating lens, seconds collimating lens and slit imager, diffraction grating and exit slit. The rule of entrance and exit slit and effected different parameters in resolution and the size of the spectrum were studied.
The designed monochromator contain all the principle components and improving impossible by improving optical system, slit size and the grating (granting space).
