Hysteresisgraphs are used to measure the magnetic properties of a material. These properties can be considered a measure of the material quality or of its suitability for a particular application.
Hysteresisgraphs designed to test hard magnetic materials such as the rare earths or Alnico are referred to as "hard hysteresisgraphs". "Soft hysteresisgraphs", on the other hand, are designed for testing soft magnetic materials like transformer laminations or high frequency soft ferrites.
Determining the magnetic properties of soft magnetic materials can pose challenges. These challenges are due mainly to the fact that these materials are very response to magnetic fields, and therefore, the applied magnetic field of these materials must be strictly controlled to get any useful information. Fortunately, an instrument called a hysteresisgraph is designed which allows for the magnetic properties of soft magnetic materials to be measured. This report presents pilot hysteresisgraph designation at electrical branch (Javaneh Centre) of ACECR Tehran unit.
