Dwarf chicory (Cichorium pumilum Jacq.) is an annual species from Asteraceae plant family. In order to study echophysiological characteristics and agronomical adaptation of dwarf chicory, series of experiments were conducted during 2006-2009. Minimum, optimum and maximum temperatures of dwarf chicory were obtained. Four experiments were conducted as field experiments. In the first experiment the effects of three sowing dates and three plant densities was studied in a split plot layout based on randomized complete block design with three replications. Effects of different levels of manures and chemical fertilizers was studied as second field experiment. In the third experiment, the effect of residue of different fertilizers from previous year was studied. Finally the effect of three spring planting dates on some of agronomical and phytochemical characterstics was studied in a RCBD with 3 replications. The highest and the lowest leaf phenol content were obtained in 22 May and 20 March sowing dates, respectively.
