Increasing productivity and implementation of plans in industries need to protect industrial workers in hazardous environments. Fire and high temperature are some of the hazards in steel and casting industries. So, in these industries using protective clothes against flame, heat and melt splash to produce apparel for labors is necessary.
In the present research, different processes for producing fabrics are illustrated, briefly. Then, thermal properties of fibers and their treatments against heat and flame are investigated. Also, in chapter 3 heat and fire resistant fibers and different methods for increasing resistance of textiles against fire and heat are issued. In order to evaluate thermal properties of textile, effective parameters are introduced.
Finally, a comparison between production methods of fire protective cloths is done. Also, some suggestions for future studies are issued.
