The purpose of this sketch is to find out the role of family, school and peer groups in female students about normative acceptance in Tehran high schools. The theorists believe that the answer lies in the social psychological mechanisms forming human being personality, social learning process, internalizing values and norms which is called "socialization" in sociology.
This study describes and analyzes the behavior differences, ideas, attitudes, and common values among the teen ages. It tries to recognize the effective factors changing their social behaviors by using survey method. In this study which was in search of knowing youth community recognized their mental and cultural characteristics as follows:
1) fashion - following and appearance caring.
2) Weakness of religious principles and beliefs.
3) Interest in friendship associations.
4) Love for comfort or pleasure (welfare- seeking)
5) Feeling social discrimination between the two sexex in family and society (inferiority complex)
6) Critical attitude.
After preparing the question naire, the necessary data were collected and analyzed.
The final results are as fallows:
1) as far as similar, are concerned most of them have similar values and interests to their families.
2) The high school is not the leading reference group in factors determing values and interests for most of the teen ages while the family and specially friendship groups are more successful in attracting them.
3) According to Sutherlands differential affiliation theory the teen ages are under the influence of groups around them to the degree and strength of their relationships. In an ultimate analysis adolescents acceptance of groups values and norms on their similarity with teen ages values and norms. In other words, teen ages as a special group, are recognized from other groups by their certain values and norms or in a sense "particular culture".
