Developing of industry and daily incremental production of aromatic compounds and synthesis of substances with new complex structures discharged of different industries and irreparable effects of these poisonous substances on ecosystem, cause applying of new method of degradation like ultrasound.
Regard to importance of cavitations mechanisms affection, hot spots- the most prominent interpretative theory- has been investigated.
Then effective parameters and brief applications of ultrasound in degradation of monocyclic and poly cyclic colored compounds in both bench and pilot scales have been explained.
Recent investigations show ultrasound kinetically and processing usages in degradation of aromatic compounds at different frequencies and power. Also BOD and COD changes effected by ultrasounds and comparisons with other degrading methods have been reviewed.
