Dicalcium phosphate is used in toothpaste as a filler and abrasive material. In addition it is used as an additive in food industries such as cereals, and feed, agriculture and glass industries.
Dicalcium phosphate is produced by reaction of lime slurry and phosphoric acid with seriously pH control. It produced as dehydrated and anhydrous form and both of them are used in toothpaste, it depends on to abrasive measuring in particular toothpaste.
In this paper, it described production and optimization of reaction conditions of Dicalcium phosphate in dentifrice grade for using in toothpaste in laboratory scale.
