Patient introduced is a 24 years man that after biting of the Persian gulf aquarium filefish with systhematic name: Pterois russellii (from the family scorpionidae) is toxificated by sinking the spine in dorsal rays of fish fins. In this toxification, the produced effects consist of:
1-Very much pain in bit area.
2- Delinium, convulsion & shock.
3- Paralysis in inferior organs.
Fortunately with anti-toxin injection & supportive & symptomatic therapy the danger was disappeared & the patient dismissed from hospital with a good common state and has set up physiotherapy.
The toxin of this fish is very dangerous that is on top of animals dorsalfins. These fins are very long and grown and the rays of fin are separate from each other that a caused a very beautiful appearance in this animal and this is one of the animals personal attributes. The toxin’s glands in the skin are in parallel to fin& toxin in is injected by top of fins to enemy. Eating of this fish is toxic too & it can secrete its toxin in around water that therefore will destroy any alive beings in aquarium. Toxin injection to mice causes animal death.
