Abstract: 

Medical Geology is an emerging discipline that examines links between geologic materials and processes, and the incidence and spatial/ temporal distributions of human (and other animal) diseases.
The studied area is Bagh-Borj Olia and Sofla villages, located at southern east of Baft city. There are plenty of a type of a asbestos Serpentine that is named chrysotile or white asbestos (3Mgo.2Sio2,2H2O), chromite (FeCr2O4),vermiculite {)Mg,Fe.AL)3(AlSi)4O10(OH)2.4H2O} and other minerals at this village that may cause the cancer problems. This village has about 100 inhabitants and so many of them have been got disease such as lung, stomach, pancreas cancer and etc during the past years. Refer to the witnesses and other results the village, health records relation among the minerals such as vermiculite and asbestos and cancer disease is very much suspected.
