Abstract: 

Correct production of hyclrocarbon reservoirs requires an exact analysis and knowledge of the reservior’s behavior and its fludis. The first step in prediction of reservoir’s attitude during production is to distinguish reservior Rock Types. Through the use of reservior Rock Types, we can separate reservoir section from non-reservior sections. In another word, distinction of reservior Rock Types is necessary to distinguish the flow units and their vertical and horizontal connection. In traditional approuch to determin the reservior Rock Types, ٣ factors including lithology, pore geometry and the extent of porosity and permeability are taken in to consideration. In this approach, cores are principal data. Preparation of cores is very expensive, therefore only very few of wells can be analysed in this approach. While wire line logs exist for all of the wells. During recent years, mathematical and intellectual approach in the field of oil industry and evaluation of reservoris, have displayed a high level of efficiency. Fuzzy Logic method, due to its possibility in application of qualitive and uncertain data can be more efficient compared to other mathematical methods such as neural network. In the present study, Fuzzy Logic and Fuzzy Possibility applied as an artificial interllect for the distinction of resensior Rock Types on the basis of wire line logs. Wire line logs data used in this study is related to an oil well in Asmari reservior, located in southwest oil fields Iran. In the present study “Matlab” software is used for application of Fuzzy Logic method. Despite lack of new wire line logs and complexity and heterogeneousy of reservior, “Fuzzy Logic” method has proved to be successful in determination of reservoris Rock Types.
