Abstract: 

INTRODUCTION: ALTHOUGH SUBDUCTION ZONE EARTHQUAKES ARE THE COMMONEST SOURCE OF TSUNAMIS, SUBMARINE LANDSLIDES ARE ALSO AMONG THE POSSIBLE SOURCES OF TSUNAMIS. EARTHQUAKE HAS BEEN CONSIDERED AS THE TSUNAMI SOURCE IN MOST OF THE PREVIOUS STUDIES TO INVESTIGATE TSUNAMI HAZARDS IN CASPIAN SEA AND THE RESULT OF SUBMARINE LANDSLIDE HAS BEEN LESS INVESTIGATED.
USING GEOWAVE MODEL, A PROBABLE TSUNAMI CAUSED BY SUBMARINE LANDSLIDE IN CASPIAN SEA HAS BEEN SIMULATED AND ITS EFFECT ON IRANIAN COASTS HAS BEEN INVESTIGATED IN THIS PAPER.
