Abstract: 

T.minuta L. Is a native plant originated from southern America. This plant was distributed from the native region to the other parts of the world. T.minuta L. is being used for medicinal and other usages by the local people especially in southern America and eastern Africa. The volatile oil of the plants contains different substances with varying percentage. The major component of the plants depends of environmental conditions where plant is growing. In the present study on using hexane extract of the plant was prepared employing maceration method. The solvent evaporated in vacu condition. The hexane extract was obtained, and then volatile oil was analyzed by GC/MS apparatus. The yield volatile oil using hexane as extraction solvent is estimates as 2.6%. The main component of materials was: 1-cis – ocimene (46.393%), 2-δ-ocimene (6.406%), 3-methyl linoleate (6.192%), 4-allo-ocimene (5.812%) and 5-carvone (4.71%). The effectiveness of different concentrations of this extract was evaluated against 4th in star larvae of An.stephensi. Probit regression line was plotted and its parameters calculated. Results showed that LC50 and LC90 values of volatile oil of T.minuta L. Are 3.16 and 12mg/l respectively.
