INTRODUCTION: SOUTHERN COASTS OF IRAN ARE EXPOSED TO TSUNAMI HAZARDS IN THE MAKRAN SUBDUCTION ZONE ON THE BORDER OF INDIAN OCEAN. CONSIDERING THAT OFFSHORE PLATFORMS ARE ECONOMICALLY VALUABLE STRUCTURES, THIS PAPER STUDIES THE EFFECTS OF TSUNAMI ON THE SAMPLE OF OFFSHORE PLATFORMS LOCATED IN THE SOUTHERN COASTS OF IRAN. CURRENT STUDY FIRST REPORTS THE NATURE OF TSUNAMI FORMATION AND ESTIMATES THE INCLUDED HEIGHT BY EXPERIMENTAL AND ANALYTICAL SOLUTIONS. THEN THE RESULTED HEIGHT FOR EACH PROCEDURE IS APPLIED ON THE SAMPLE OF OFFSHORE PLATFORMS THAT IS LOCATED IN THE SOUTHERN COASTS OF IRAN. AFTER THAT THE STABILITY OF THIS PLATFORM IS STUDIED BY USING THE SACS SOFTWARE. THE CURRENT STUDY INDICATES THAT THE TSUNAMI PHENOMENON IS EFFECTIVE ON THE SHALLOW WATER REGION OF SOUTHERN COAST OF IRAN.
