Abstract: 

INTRODUCTION: THE COMPUTATION OF THE WATER WAVE FORCES ON AN OFFSHORE STRUCTURE FORM A BASIS FOR THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF OFFSHORE STRUCTURES. CUSTOM ELEMENTS IN MAKING A JACKET STRUCTURE ARE TUBULAR ELEMENTS; THEREFORE THEY ARE MOSTLY USED IN RESEARCH APPROACHES. BESIDE DIFFERENT THEORIES WE HAVE ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORK AND WAVELET NETWORK THAT ARE TWO POWERFUL METHODS TO ESTIMATE IMPOSED FORCES DUE TO WAVES ON CYLINDER MEMBERS. THE MAIN OBJECTIVE OF THIS RESEARCH IS EVALUATION OF THESE TWO PROCEDURE’S ABILITY IN PREDICTING THE IN-LINE FORCE AND COMPARISON WITH EACH OTHER AS CONVENTIONAL METHODS.
