Abstract: 

1-INTRODUCTION: LOCAL WIND IS RECOGNIZED AS THE PRINCIPAL DRIVING FORCE TO SIMULATE THE TRAJECTORY OF OIL SPILL EVENTS. IN THIS REGARDS, THE WIND FIELD IS DETERMINED BY TWO METHODS. A WEIBULL PROBABILITY DISTRIBUTION AND AN ARTIFICIAL WIND FIELD ARE USED TO ADJUST THE PREVAILING WIND VERIFIED BY FIELD DATA. TO ESTIMATE THE PARAMETERS OF WEIBULL DISTRIBUTION, THE LEAST-SQUARES APPROACH IS USED AND AN ARTIFICIAL WIND FIELD IS GENERATED BY A VORTEX OVER THE BASIN. THE WIND FIELD IS COMBINED TO THE WATER DYNAMIC FIELD TO DETERMINE OIL DRIFT ON THE SEA SURFACE. A SEMI-STOCHASTIC 3D MODEL IS OBTAINED USING KELVIN WAVE EXPANSION. THE MODEL IS USED TO SIMULATE THE TRAJECTORY AND FATE OF OIL SPILL IN A SIMPLE AND SPEEDY PROCEDURE FOR THE PERSIAN GULF. COMPARISON OF THE ACTUAL AND SIMULATED OIL SPILL DRIFT WAS FOUND ACCEPTABLE IN THE DOMAIN IN ORDER TO GENERATE LARGE AMOUNT OF RESULTS PREPARING RISK MAP ANALYSIS.
