Abstract: 

INTRODUCTION: INCREASING DEMAND FOR CLEAN AND RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES OPENED THE NEW AREAS OF INVESTIGATION ALL AROUND THE WORLD. AMONG THE VARIOUS AVAILABLE METHODS, ABSORBING ENERGY FROM THE SEA WINDS IS ONE OF THE LESS EXPENSIVE AND MOST ACCESSIBLE ONE. ESPECIALLY IN THE COUNTRIES WITH EXTENSIVE COASTAL ZONE, SUCH AS IRAN, THIS KIND OF ENERGY IS COMPLETELY-COST EFFECTIVE. THEREFORE INVESTIGATION ON DIFFERENT COMPONENTS OF WIND TURBINES IS OF GREAT IMPORTANCE. IN THE PRESENT STUDY USING FINITE ELEMENT SOFTWARE SAP2000 EFFECT OF SIMULTANEOUS WAVE AND CURRENT LOADS AS WELL AS SHIP IMPACT ON A MONOPILE WAS INVESTIGATED. THIS MONOPILE CAN BE REGARDED AS THE BASE FOR A WIND TURBINE.
