Abstract: 

REACTIVE GASES ARE USED FOR A LARGE VARIETY OF OXIDE AND FLUORIDE COMPOUNDS TO KEEP FILM STOICHIOMETRY. IN REGARD TO THE DEPOSITION OF MGF2 BY ELECTRON BEAM EVAPORATION, USING REACTIVE GASES IS NOT NECESSARY. MGF2 THIN FILM WITH A THICKNESS OF 92 NM WAS DEPOSITED ON GLASS SUBSTRATE. THE OPTICAL, CHEMICAL, AND STRUCTURAL PROPERTIES OF THE DEPOSITED MGF2 FILMS WERE INVESTIGATED BY USING SPECTROPHOTOMETER, X-RAY PHOTOELECTRON SPECTROSCOPY (XPS), AND ATOMIC FORCE MICROSCOPY (AFM).
