Abstract: 

UTILIZING ELECTRON BEAM EVAPORATION TECHNIQUE, ZNO LAYER IS DEPOSITED ON SODA LIME GLASS SUBSTRATE AND THEN ANNEALING AT 500OC FOR 2 HOURS, THEN PT ELECTRODE WAS COATED ON DIFFERENT ZNO LAYER SAMPLES WITH THE SAME METHOD AND EVENTUALLY WERE USED AS GAS SENSORS. SENSORS WERE EXPOSED TO VAPORS OF DIFFERENT ALCOHOLS I.E , ETHANOL, METHANOL, PROPANOL AND BUTANOL. CHANGE IN SENSITIVITY OF SENSORS BY INCREASE IN CONCENTRATION OF THE ALCOHOLS WAS INVESTIGATED.
