Abstract: 

IN THIS STUDY OPTICAL PROPERTIES OF TITANIUM DIOXIDE NANOPARTICLES FOR FABRICATING A PHOTODETECTOR WERE INVESTIGATED AND THE EFFECT OF GRAPHENE OXIDE AND CADMIUM SULFIDE NANOPARTICLES WAS EXAMINED. IT WAS SHOWN THAT ALTHOUGH THE SENSITIVITY OF TIO2 IS HIGHER COMPARED TO THE OTHERS, BUT DUE TO A REDUCTION IN THE RATE OF ELECTRON-HOLE RECOMBINATION AND THE BAND GAP OF TIO2, RESPONSIVELY, QUANTUM EFFICIENCY AND GAIN ARE HIGHER IN COMPARISON TO THE OTHER DEVICES WHICH ARE TIO2-BASED.
