Abstract: 

A NEW COMPOUND IN THE SERIES OF TERNARY CERIUM COMPOUNDS WITH THE NOMINAL COMPOSITION CETSB2 (T=CO) HAVE BEEN SYNTHESIZED AND ITS MAGNETIC PROPERTIES HAS BEEN STUDIED, USING MAGNETIC SUSCEPTIBILITY MEASUREMENTS. IN THIS REPORT, THE RESULTS OF POWDER X-RAY DIFFRACTION AND MAGNETIC SUSCEPTIBILITY IS PRESENTED. THE COMPOUND CRYSTALLIZES IN THE TETRAGONAL UCUAS2 TYPE STRUCTURE. ITS MAGNETIC PROPERTY SHOWS A POSSIBLE KONDO LATTICE TYPE BEHAVIOR.
