Abstract: 

IN THIS RESEARCH, WE HAVE STUDIED AND INVESTIGATED THE METAL-INSULATOR AND PARAMAGNETISM-FERROMAGNETISM PHASE TRANSITIONS AND INTERGRANULAR MAGNETO RESISTANCE OF LA0.7 SR0.3-X BAX MNO3 MANGANITE FOR X=0, 0.2. IN ORDER TO FABRICATE THE SAMPLES WITH TRANSITION TEMPERATURES CLOSE TO THE ROOM TEMPERATURE THE SOL-GEL METHOD WAS USED. WE OBSERVED THAT FOR X=0 THE METAL-INSULATOR TRANSITION OCCURS AT THE ROOM TEMPERATURE AND FOR X=0.2 THE TRANSITION OCCURS AT 212 K. ALSO, WE OBSERVED THAT THE PARAMAGNETISM-FERROMAGNETISM TRANSITION OF BOTH SAMPLES OCCUR AT TEMPERATURES ABOVE THE ROOM TEMPERATURE. MAGNETO RESISTANCE MEASUREMENT SHOWS THAT THE MAGNETO RESISTANCE IS OF INTERGRANULAR TYPE AND INCREASES BY DECREASING THE TEMPERATURE. ALSO THE MAGNETO RESISTANCE INCREASES ALMOST LINEARLY WITH THE MAGNETIC FIELD AND THE SAMPLES DOPED WITH BARIUM SHOWED HIGHER MAGNETO RESISTANCE.
