Abstract: 

IN THIS PAPER, BY THE USE OF THE ELECTRICAL MODEL, WE HAVE STUDIED THE EFFECTS OF THE PRE-IONIZER CATHODE AND ANODE DIMENSION ON THE MAIN DISCHARGE REGION OF THE CO2 LASER. WE HAVE STUDIED THESE EFFECTS BY MEASURING UV ENERGY THAT IS PRODUCED IN THE CORONA PRE-IONIZATION, ENTERING TO THE MAIN DISCHARGE REGION. WE HAVE ALSO SHOWN THAT THE UV RADIATION IN THE MAIN DISCHARGE REGION OF THE LASER HAS A MAXIMUM VALUE ACCORDING TO THE DIMENSIONS OF PRE-IONIZER CATHODE WHICH IT IS IN GOOD AGREEMENT WITH THE EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS.
