Abstract: 

A SERIES OF STATES OF DTM* J,V ARE FORMED IN COLLISIONS OF EXCITED TM (2S) WITH D2 MOLECULES. OTHERWISE, THE MENTIONED STATES DECAY VIA COULOMB FORCES. IN THIS PAPER, BRANCHING RATIO (RELATED TO DECAY RATE) FOR THE CHANNELS OF DTM* J,V IS CALCULATED USING VARIATIONAL PROCEDURE THE WITH THE INTRODUCED WAVE FUNCTIONS. THE ANALYTICAL AND NUMERICAL CALCULATIONS SHOW THAT THE PRESENT WORK IS A SIMPLE PROCEDURE AND INTRODUCES USEFUL PARAMETERS THAT ARE IMPORTANT FOR QUANTUM MECHANICAL STUDIES OF FORMATION OR DECAY FOR MENTIONED META-STABLE ION.
