Abstract: 

A METHOD BASED ON THE WAVELETS THEORY, IS DEVELOPED TO SOLVE THE MOST BASIC INTEGRAL EQUATION OF THE QUANTUM SCATTERING THEORY. USING THE WAVELETS PROPERTIES, SOME BASIC FUNCTIONS WITH SMOOTH STRUCTURE ON DIFFERENT SCALES ARE INTRODUCED TO REDUCE, CONSIDERABLY, THE SIZE OF THE MATRIX REPRESENTATION OF THE LIPPMANN-SCHWINGER EQUATION WITHOUT LOSS OF ACCURACY. AS A TEST PROBLEM, THE METHOD IS APPLIED TO SOLVE THE TWO-BODY SCATTERING PROBLEM WITH YUKAWA INTERACTION POTENTIAL.
