Abstract: 

Single cell protein (SCP) was produced by aerobic fermentation of natural gas by Methylomonas. A continuous system was developed on a bubble column bioreactor, and batch systems were arisen as inoculums in sealed flasks. The experiments were conducted under controlled pH (7) and temperature (32oC) conditions. The Tughochi method was used for the system optimization with 4 variables in 3 levels. According to the optimum condition result the maximum protein content of biomass was 69.25%.
