Abstract: 

THIS PAPER PRESENTS THE MODELING AND ROBUST CONTROL DESIGN FOR A WIND ENERGY CONVERSION SCHEME USING INDUCTION GENERATORS. WE KNOW THAT THIS SYSTEM IS FED BY AN UNSTEADY INPUT AS THE WIND; HENCE ROBUST TECHNIQUES WILL BE SUITABLE. ACCORDING TO THE DYNAMIC EQUATIONS AND SYSTEM'S UNCERTAINTY, CONTROLLERS BASED ON H¥ WAS DESIGNED AND COMPARED WITH CONTROLLERS BASED ON POLE ASSIGNMENT. FAST RESPONSE, SUITABLE SETTLE TIME AND STABILITY UPON SEVERE WIND GUST, DEPICTS THE IMPROVEMENT OF SYSTEM RESPONSE USING ROBUST CONTROL.
