Abstract: 

POLY (AA-G-EG) IS A PH SENSITIVE COPOLYMER OF POLY ACRYLIC ACID (AA) AND POLY ETHYLENE GLYCOL (PEG) WHICH FORMS INTER POLYMER NETWORK DEPENDING ON PH CHANGES. PH SENSITIVE HYDROGELS ARE AN IDEAL METHOD FOR ORAL DELIVERY OF PEPTIDES. IN THIS PROJECT, POLY ACRYLIC HYDROGELS GRAFT WITH POLY ETHYLENE GLYCOL WAS SYNTHESIZED AND CHARACTERIZED .P (AA-G-EG) HYDROGELS WAS PREPARED BY FREE RADICAL DISPERSION POLYMERIZATION IN WATER. THE EFFECT OF POLYMERIZATION PARAMETERS SUCH AS MONOMER FEED RATIO AND CROSSLINKING AGENT WERE INVESTIGATED ON SWELLING AND RELEASE BEHAVIOR OF HYDROGEL IN GASTROINTESTINAL PH AND MOLECULAR WEIGHT BETWEEN CROSSLINKS WERE CALCULATED.
