Abstract: 

IN THIS PAPER, HEAT PRODUCTION, TRANSFER AND DISTRIBUTION IN BODY HAS BEEN STUDIED. FOR INSTANCE, A MODEL HAS BEEN DEVELOPED FOR THERMAL DISTRIBUTION IN ARM. IN THIS TWO DIMENSIONAL MODEL, GOVERNING EQUATIONS HAVE BEEN SOLVED WITH FINITE DIFFERENCE METHOD. TEMPERATURE DISTRIBUTION FOR TISSUE, ARTERY AND VEIN AND ALSO TEMPERATURE CONTOURS FOR TISSUE IN THREE CONDITIONS: NORMAL TEMPERATURE, HOT TEMPERATURE (SWEATING) AND COLD TEMPERATURE (SHIVERING) ARE PRESENTED. PHYSICAL COEFFICIENTS AND THERMO PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF TISSUE AND BLOOD VESSELS WERE ADOPTED FROM LITERATURE AND RESULTS OBTAINED AND PRESENTED ACCORDINGLY.
