Abstract: 

THE PRESENT INVESTIGATION WAS CARRIED OUT TO STUDY GENETIC VARIATION AND POLYMORPHISM OF ALHAJI PSEUDOALHAJI USING RAPD TEQNIQUE. TEN ALHAJI PSEUDOALHAJI ISOLATES WERE COLLECTED FROM DIFFERENT GEOGRAPHICAL PARTS OF IRAN AND STUDIED AT KHORASAN RAZAVI AGRICULTURAL AND NATURAL RESOURCES RESEARCH CENTER DURING 2009. FOURTEEN RANDOM 10-MERE NUCLEOTIDE PRIMERS WERE CONTERBUTED IN POLYMERASE CHAIN REACTION (PCR) ALL POLYMORPHISM WERE OBSERVED IN 10 SAMPLES FOR 13 PRIMERS. OUT OF 389 REPRODUCED DNA SEGMENTS ¸ 369 ONES (94/85 %) SHOWED POLYMORPHISM. CLUSTERS ANALYSIS WAS ADOPTED PRESENCE (1) AND ABSENCE (0) OF DNA BANDS WERE FEEDED TO NTSYS SOFTWARE. HIGHEST GENETICAL SIMILARITY (55.4 %) WERE OBSERVED BETWEEN MASHHAD (AL 1) AND NEISHABUR (AL 2). WHILE THE LEAST (17 %) WAS OBSERVED BETWEEN SHAHRUD (AL5) AND T ORBAT HEIDARIYE (AL3) ISOLATES. ISOLATES WERE GROUPED IN FOUR CATEGORIES. HIGH GENETIC DIVERSITY WAS FOUND AMONG ECOTYPES UNDER STUDY.
