Abstract:

IN ORDER TO EVALUATION OF RESISTANT TO CLODINAFOP-PROPARGYL HERBICIDE IN WINTER WILD OAT (AVENA LUDOVICIANA DUR.) POPULATIONS OF KHUZESTAN PROVINCE'S WHEAT FIELDS, A STUDY WAS CONDUCTED IN THE COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE, FERDOWSI UNIVERSITY OF MASHHAD, DURING 2005-2006. FORTY-FIVE WILD OAT POPULATIONS WERE COLLECTED FROM DIFFERENT AREAS OF AHVAZ, ANDIMESHK, SHUSH, SHUSHTAR, RAMHURMOZ, SUSANGERD (DASHT-E-AZADEGAN), AND DEZFUL CITIES PLUS TO ONE SUSCEPTIBLE POPULATION AND TESTED BY GREENHOUSE EXPERIMENTS. TO DETERMINE RESISTANCE RATIO, GREENHOUSE EXPERIMENTS WERE CONDUCTED IN TWO STEPS INCLUDING PRELIMINARY SCREENING AND BIOASSAY USING DOSE-RESPONSE CURVES. EFFECTS OF RECOMMENDED FIELD RATES OF CLODINFOP PROPARGYL (64G A.I. HA-1) ON DRY WEIGHT (% OF CONTROL), PERCENTAGE OF SURVIVAL AND VISUAL PHYTOTOXICITY, WERE USED FOR SCREENING WILD OAT POPULATIONS. AFTER PRELIMINARY SCREENING, THE SELECTED POPULATIONS WERE SPRAYED WITH ARRANGE OF 0.25 TO 32 TIMES THE RECOMMENDED FIELD RATES OF MENTIONED HERBICIDE IN GREENHOUSE BIOASSAY. OUR RESULTS SHOWED THAT SOME WINTER WILD OAT POPULATIONS HAD HIGH RESISTANCE TO CLODINAFOP-PROPARGYL HERBICIDE.
