Abstract: 

SOME MICROBIAL PARAMETERS OF SOIL WERE STUDIED AS AFFECTED BY SULFOSULFURON APPLICATION IN WHEAT FIELD AT THE RESEARCH FIELD OF FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE, FERDOWSI UNIVERSITY OF MASHHAD IN 2006. FORTY TON HA-1 ANIMAL MANURE WAS APPLIED TO THE SOIL AND A NONE APPLIED MANURE WAS ALLOCATED AS CHECK. TWO DOSES OF TRADE FORMULATION OF SULFOSULFURON, COMMON (26.6 G HA-1) AND OVERDOSE (33.73 G HA-1) ALSO WERE SPRAYED. SOIL RESPIRATION, MICROBIAL BIOMASS AND CO2 QUOTIENT OF SOIL SAMPLES WERE DETERMINED. BEFORE APPLICATION OF SULFOSULFURON, THERE WAS NOT ANY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TREATMENTS FOR MEASURED PARAMETERS. HOWEVER AFTER THAT, THE SOIL RESPIRATION AND MICROBIAL BIOMASS GENERALLY WERE HIGHER AND THE METABOLIC QUOTIENT WAS LOWER IN THE FARMYARD AMENDED SOIL THAT WAS SIGNIFICANT IN SOME INSTANCES. SULFOSULFURON APPLICATION RATES DIDN’T SIGNIFICANT EFFECTS ON THE MICROBIAL QUANTITIES.
