Abstract:

EUPHORBIA MACULATE IS AN ALIEN WEED IN IRAN WHICH HAS BEEN INTRODUCED INTO GOLESTAN PROVINCE IN RECENT YEARS AND DISTRIBUTED INCREASINGLY IN SOYBEAN FIELDS. IN A FIELDEXPERIMENT, THE EFFICACY OF OXYFLOURFEN, PENDIMETHALIN, BENTAZON, METRIBUZINE, ETHALFLORALIN, TRIFLURALIN ANDACYFLOURFEN+BENTAZON, COMPARED WITH HAND WEEDING AND WEEDY CHECK, WAS INVESTIGATED. THE RESULTS INDICATED THAT OXYFLOURFEN AT 0.48 KG HA-1 AS PRE-EM., SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED THE NUMBER AND DRY WEIGHT OF THE WEED PLANTS. HOWEVER, THIS TREATMENT SHOWED NO SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE WITH PENDIMETHALIN, BENTAZON, METRIBUZINE, ETHALFLORALIN AND HAND WEEDING IN NUMBER OF THE WEED PLANTS. APPLICATION OF ACYFLOURFEN+BENTAZON AND METRIBUZINE, RESPECTIVELY AT 1.06 AND 0.35 KG HA-1 RESULTED IN HIGHER SOYBEAN GRAIN YIELD THAN THE OTHER TREATMENT, BUT THERE WAS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN METRIBUZINE AND PRE-EM APPLICATION OF OXYFLOURFEN AT 0.36 KG HA-1.
