Abstract:

TO EVALUATE THE EFFICACY OF WEED CONTROL OF MEGATON COMPARED TO CURRENTLY APPLIED HERBICIDES IN WHEAT AN EXPERIMENT WAS CONDUCTED AS A RANDOMIZED COMPLETELY BLOCK DESIGN WITH 10 TREATMENTS IN 4 REPLICATIONS DURING 2006-2007 AT AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH STATION IN KERMANSHAH. TREATMENTS CONSISTED OF POST-EMERGENCE APPLICATIONS OF CHEVALIER 400 GR/H, APYROS 28, 42, 56, 70 GR/H, MEGATON 20 GR/H, BROMICIDE+TOPIK 1.5+0.8 LIT/H, TOTAL 45 GR/H, ATLANTIS 1.5 LIT/H, AND A WEED FREE CHECK. RESULTS INDICATED THAT THE BEST TREATMENT WHICH REDUCED THE DENSITY AND DRY-MATTER OF WEEDS AND INCREASED WHEAT YIELD WAS TOTAL. IN CONCLUSION THE EFFICACY OF MEGATON WAS DESIRABLE, AND AFTER TOTAL COULD CONTROLLED AND REDUCED THE DENSITY AND DRY-MATTER OF MOST OF WEEDS EXCEPT LAMIUM AMPLEXICAULE L.
