Abstract: 

TO INVESTIGATE THE EFFECT OF ERADICANE APPLICATION IN COMPARISON WITH CONVENTIONAL METHOD ON YIELD AND YIELD COMPONENTS OF CORN, A FACTORIAL EXPERIMENT WAS CONDUCTEDBASED ON RCBD IN 1385 AT AGRICULTURAL FACULTY FIELD OF UNIVERSITY OF TEHRAN. ERADICANE WAS USED IN 4 LEVELS: 1) THE CONVENTIONAL METHOD 2) HERBIGATION IN THE FIRST IRRIGATION, 3) HERBIGATION IN THE SECOND IRRIGATION, 4) HERBIGATION AS SPLITTED DOSES IN THE FIRST AND THE SECOND IRRIGATION. ERADICANE WAS APPLIED IN 3 LEVELS: 1).5.5 L/HA (LABELED DOSE), 2) 3.85 L/HA AND 3) 7.15 L/HA. THE HIGHEST GRAIN YIELD (10.6 T/HA) AMONG DIFFERENT METHODS OF ERADICANE APPLICATION WAS OBTAINED AT TREATMENT OF CONVENTIONAL METHOD OF APPLICATION THAT WAS AT THE SAME GROUP OF MEAN COMPARISON WITH TREATMENT HERBIGATION AT THE SECOND IRRIGATION. DOSES OF 5.5 AND 7.15 L/HA HAD THE HIGHEST GRAIN YIELD. CONCERNING THEIR EFFECT ON BIOLOGICAL YIELD THE CONVENTIONAL APPLICATION METHOD AND HERBIGATION WITH SECOND IRRIGATION WERE AT THE SAME GROUP AFTER COMPARISON OF MEANS. THERE WAS NOT SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CONVENTIONAL METHOD OF APPLICATION AND HERBIGATION VIA THE SECOND IRRIGATION CONCERNING NUMBER OF SEED IN EACH ROW, NUMBER OF ROWS IN EACH EAR AND COB DIAMETER. THE MAXIMUM LENGTH OF EAR WAS OBTAINED AT CONVENTIONAL APPLICATION METHOD. THE 100 SEED WEIGHT WAS NOT AFFECTED BY ANY TREATMENTS.
