IN ORDER TO INVESTIGATE BROOMRAPE CHEMICAL CONTROL IN POTATO UNDER CONTROLLED AND NATURAL CONDITIONS, AN EXPERIMENT WAS CARRIED OUT IN A RANDOMIZED COMPLETE BLOCK DESIGN WITH 13 TREATMENTS AND 3 REPLICATION. TREATMENTS WERE RIMSULFURON (TITUS) AT 20, 30, 40, 60 & 90 G/HA, GLYPHOSATE (ROUNDUP) AT 50, 100 & 150 CC/HA AND SULFOSULFURON AT 25 & 35 G/HA, WITH ONE OR SPLIT USAGE. THE RESULTS INDICATED A SIGNIFICANT EFFECT OF TREATMENTS ON DENSITY AND CONTROL OF BROOMRAPE. RIMSULFURON (30 G/HA) WITH THREE (30, 40 & 50 DAP) AND TWO APPLICATIONS (40 & 50 DAP) WAS THE MOST EFFECTIVE TREATMENT ON BROOMRAPE CONTROL (50-70%) RESPECTIVELY AND SAVED THE QUALITY OF POTATO TUBERS.
