THIS EXPERIMENT WAS CONDUCTED DURNG 1385-1388 FOR CHEMICAL AND MECHANICAL CONTROL OF SWALLOWORT (CYNANCHUM ACUTUM) IN ABYEK AND YAZD IN A RANDOM COMPLETE BLOCK DESIGN WITH 3 REPLICATIONS AND 18 TREATMENTS USING PARAQUQT, TRICLOPYR, GLYPHOSATE, AND THEIR COMBINATIONS TOGETHER CONTROL. THE RESULTS SHOWED THAT THE BEST TREATMENT FOR THE CONTROL OF SWALLOW WORT DENSITY IN ABYEK WERE THREE TIMES ROUNUP 6 L/HA AND TWO AND THREE TIMES GARLON 2 L/HA AND, AND FOR ITS DRY WEIGHT CONTROL WERE PREVIOUS TREATMENTS PLUS 3 TIMES ROUNUP 4 L/HA AND 2 TIMES ROUNUP 6 L/HA. THE MOST EFFECTIVE TREATMENTS FOR THE CONTROL OF SWALLOWWORT DENSITY IN YAZD WERE TWO AND THREE TIMES GARLON 2 L/HA AND THREE TIMES ROUNUP 6 L/HA, AND THE BEST TREATMENT FOR THE CONTROL OF SWALLOW WORT BIOMASS WERE PREVIOUS TREATMENT TOGETHER GARLON+ROUNUP. THEREFORE, SYSTEMIC HERBICIDE ROUNDUP HAS MORE ABILITY IN SWALLOW WORT CONTROL THAN THAT OF CONTACT HERBICIDES LIKE PARAQUAT.
