Abstract: 

FIELD STUDY WAS CONDUCTED DURING 2009 IN ARDABIL TO DETERMINE THE EFFICACY OF DIFFERENT AGROCHEMICAL MANAGEMENTS ON WEED CONTROL IN POTATO WITH A RANDOMIZED COMPLETE BLOCK DESIGN WITH FOUR REPLICATIONS. THE TREATMENTS WERE: WEED FREE CHECK, WEEDY CHECK, METRIBUZIN (STANDARD), BLACK POLYETHYLENE, CULTIVATOR, TRIFLURALIN, BLACK POLYETHYLENE+TRIFLURALIN, AND CULTIVATOR+TRIFLURALIN. RESULTS SHOWED THAT BLACK POLYETHYLENE+TRIFLURALIN HAD A MINIMUM AND METRIBUZINE HAD MAXIMUM WEED DENSITIES AND DRY WEIGHT. IN OTHER WORD THE AGROCHEMICAL TREATMENT (BLACK POLYETHYLENE+TRIFLURALIN) WAS THE MOST EFFECTIVE COMPARED TO OTHER TREATMENTS. BECAUSE THE BLACK COLOR WAS BLOCKED THE LIGHT FOR HELIOPHYTE WEEDS GERMINATION, BESIDES TRIFLURALIN HAD BEEN CONTROLLED THE OTHER WEEDS. IN THE INTEGRATED TREATMENTS WITH CULTIVATOR WEED DENSITIES WAS MORE THAN POLYETHYLENE MULCHS. RESULTS SHOWED THAT BLACK POLYETHYLENE HAD MAXIMUM AND METRIBUZINE HAD MINIMUM YIELD.
